The Assistant Manager supports the warehouse and distribution tasks, overseeing proper procedures and controls to maximize warehouse efficiency, supporting on-time preparation of inventory to satisfy scheduled deliveries and pickups for daily orders.

- Provides leadership and direction to team members daily.
- Manages and participates in loading/offloading the trucks.
- Monitors team member performance and progress
- Notifies management about over-booking or sub-rental needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Communicates with the sales staff for details and last-minute changes to jobs or events.
- Communicates with Field Operations team for any updates, questions or needs they may have.
- Maximizes efficiency of the return process, including the processing, cleaning, and re-stocking of rental items into inventory.
- Ensures damaged items get processed and repaired in a timely manner.
- Trains staff and monitors their performance and progress.
- Maintains all warehouse equipment.
- Manages maintenance of all warehouse areas including office, restrooms, and storage areas in a safe, clean, organized and working condition.
- Complies with all government safety requirements and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Supervisory responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction to employees daily.
- Works within the labor/scheduling hours needed for jobs.
- Trains field staff on the safe usage of all installation machinery and equipment.
- Develops and maintains training programs for staff on installation of products and services offered and monitors their performance and progress.
Work environment
- Works mostly in indoor environments.
- Occasionally works outdoors, in weather conditions such as heat, cold, sun or rain.
- Often uses safety attire and equipment such as vests, masks, gloves, etc.
- May work in close proximity to other people, such as when sharing or entering office space.
- May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
- Hours worked/scheduled generally more than 40 hours per week; additional hours may be required or scheduled as needed.
- Work may be across seven (7) days a week based on event; on-call availability may also be required when events are booked at a moment’s notice.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Three years of warehouse, delivery, or routing management experience.
Preferred experience
- Technical ability; experience with computers and software knowledge.
- Bi-lingual/ability to speak Spanish.
Educational, Technical & Computer Skills
- Rental software or warehouse management system knowledge and experience.
- Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel knowledge and experience.
Physical demands
- Must be able to lift approximately 20-40 lbs. consistently; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Works in close proximity to people, such as in sharing office space.
- May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
Travel required
Rarely.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
- Section 1 of federal Form I-9
- Acceptable documents authorized by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services proving identity and employment authorization.
