Now Hiring: Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist provides full administrative support to the Sales Manager and Sales Consultants.  This position is dedicated and committed to supporting the plans, communication, and ultimate execution of details for our clients and customers. 

Essential functions

  • Administrative support for multiple sales managers.
  • Receives, qualifies, and manages all new leads, via phone & email.
  • Monitors shared Lead Queue inbox.
  • Confirms layouts attached for each order & assists with creation as requested by Manager – Sales.
  • Assists with communications between sales and operations.
  • Maintains client relationships via phone or email when Manager and/or Consultants are not available.
  • Manages and services all in-house sales orders and equipment sub-rentals from start to finish.
  • Acts as project management support for large events.
  • Manages continuation billing for all extended rentals.
  • Sources specialty item requests and maintains sub-rental procedures.
  • Assists with accounts receivable.
  • Compiles information and executes all fire permits when required/contracted to provide service.

Supervisory responsibilities

 

  • This position does not supervise staff. 

Work environment

 

  • Most work will be indoors with limited exposure to outside elements.
  • The job requires constant interaction with the public via phone or in-person.
  • May work in close proximity to other people, such as when sharing or entering office space.
  • Hours worked/scheduled generally 40 hours per week; additional hours may be required as needed.

Required Education & Experience

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess sales and customer-relation skills.
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel knowledge and experience is required. Training on rental software will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Ability to follow instructions and execute accordingly.
  • Reliable and dependable with attendance, follow-up and follow-through of client and manager requests.

Preferred Education & Experience

 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Rental software or other system knowledge and experience.
  • Previous event coordination experience is a plus (weddings, festivals, etc.)
  • Bi-lingual/ability to speak Spanish.
  • High degree of flexibility and patience.
  • Cooperative and team player.
  • Maintains a professional personal appearance and demeanor.

Physical demands

 

  • May be required to lift occasionally and generally less than 10 lbs. 

Work authorization/security clearance requirements

 

  • Section 1 of federal Form I-9
  • Acceptable documents authorized by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services proving identity and employment authorization.
