23 Mar Tent Rental 101: Types of Tents for Spring Festivals & Events
With beautiful weather, spring in Atlanta is the perfect time to host an outdoor festival or event. From local music festivals, farmer’s markets, and boutique fairs to annual events, locals enjoy any opportunity to get outside, stroll, eat, and shop. Each of these events has different set-up needs and we’re covering the types of tents for spring festivals you’ll need to ensure your upcoming event is the most successful yet!
Vendor Tents
At any type of event, local businesses and a vendor market will draw in the crowds. What better way to meander through tents than looking at local wares and goods? When it comes to housing vendors, a Marquee Tent (shown below) or our EZ Up Tents is your best bet. These types of tents will allow for individual space for vendors to set up shop and guests to roam along the main pathway. Alternatively, you could consider a larger retail tent to house all vendors under one large space (details on that below).
Food Tent
For an all-day or multi-day event, food is a must-have. People love to eat, and there is something nostalgic about purchasing food from a tent. Alongside housing your food vendors, we recommend a simple pole tent combined with fencing to create a separate area for dining. This style of tent will allow plenty of room for people to gather comfortably beneath the shade, while a fence will clearly mark the boundaries of the designated area. Aside from tents, don’t forget to check out our Concession Equipment for Rent!
Entertainment Tent
Depending on the type of event you plan to host, your guests may enjoy live entertainment. Whether it be performers, local musicians, or both! You might also consider if you will need a stage, for announcements, or a dance floor (we can help you with all these rentals, too!). A classic frame tent will give you unobstructed open space for staging or crowds to dance. We offer a large variety of different sizes and styles of frame tents for you to choose from.
Retail Tent
A frame tent is always a good choice when you are planning on having an enclosed shopping space or retail tent. At a festival, frame tents can be easily used to create shopping areas both large and small. For a spring event that is longer, we recommend adding flooring and lighting for a more comfortable shopping experience, day or night. If the weather appears unpredictable, tent walls and heating or cooling units are also available.
Security, First Aid, Water or Trash Stations
Throughout your outdoor event space, you may need a variety of smaller tent stations. For everything from event security, first aid, water or sunscreen stations, and trash stations. For smaller events, our EZ Up tents are preferable, as they are easy to set up and compact. Larger events however may prefer high-peak tents, as they have more room for tables and chairs.
Command Central
As the host of an event, you will need a command center! A place for event managers, staff, and volunteers to gather, and get the info they need to keep things running smoothly. And to house equipment or additional rentals. Our structure tent is solid and secure, making it a great choice should you need to be discreet. Combined with non-see-through siding, we can ensure that you will have complete privacy.
